Poly Optics has combined
the latest LED technology with its unique Super Side
Light fibre to produce a range of new safety lighting
products.
Using LEDs to illuminate
lengths of fibre, Poly Optics has created a Windowed
Fibre Optic Cable ideal for use in safety and emergency
lighting applications. Windowed fibre is installed in
lengths of up to five metres (16 feet) with one LED
positioned at each end of each length of fibre.
The result is a lighting
system with an extremely low power consumption of 0.2
watts per five metre length of fibre. In addition, the
product is heat free and requires low maintenance with
a lamp life in excess of 50,000 hours.
