In 1998 Poly Optics was awarded the largest fibre optic lighting system project in the world to illuminate a 70 story building in Hong Kong. The project contained more than 120,000 meters of solid core fibre optic cable, 1,054 light drivers, 12,000 stainless steel lens assemblies and light termination points, a telecommunications network with nearly seventy data repeaters and 20,000 meters of cabling, a computer system that controls the light drivers, and more than 15 man years of supervision and installation time. All components of the system were designed, built and installed by Poly Optics.
